if I use the delivered example stack i get the same error when i try to print without preview.

There is indeed a bug in Quartam Reports version 1.1.6 that prevents direct printing.
It is solved in version 1.1.7 - which will be released in the next few weeks.
My apologies for the delay.

Once again, my apologies for the delay.
I am currently swamped at the day-job but should be able to finish it by the end of this month.

Best regards,

Jan Schenkel.

Hello Jan,

please let me know, when you will be able to release Version 1.7.

I use your professional version of quantum reports for an in-house rental system and my users are asking me almost daily, when it will be possible to print without preview.

Thank you very much in advance for a quick fix.

Michael

Hi Peter,

My apologies for the ridiculously late reply. I've been lost in personal issues and am only now finding back the energy to spend time on my LiveCode projects.

Unfortunately, I'm going to have to go through all my notes to see where exactly I was at in the development of Quartam Reports 1.1.7
Of course I do have a copy of the latest internal build, but it may contain half-baked stuff that I need to review before I unleash it to unsuspecting customers.

I hope this clarified the situation. I do plan to update Quartam Reports, but under the current circumstances I cannot commit to a timeframe.
But I will keep you posted.

Best regards,

Jan Schenkel.

Hi Jan,

I have an issue on Sierra SO on Macosx. Can you update us with 1.7 version?

I need help with Quartam Reports. Since Sierra MacOSX when you print preview any report a blank page left on desktop making unusable these zone until close the app.
Since now was impossible contact with Quartam support.
Any idea if Quartam still exist or is supported? Alternatives?

Salut,
Josep M

Hi Jan,

i know you are very busy, but it would be nice to know when we can expect then next version of Quartam Reports.

In 2014 you told me, you know about the "print without preview bug" .

Now we are in 2017 and nothing happens.

It is unacceptable to wait for more then 3 years for a bug fix,
and I am a little disappointed that you haven't got the time to adapt it for Livecode version 8 /9.

Perhaps it would be a good idea to make it open source, or you could sell the codebase to Livecode to ensure ongoing development of this nice product.

I understand your frustration - it is indeed not your fault that my life hasn't gone quite the way I wanted/expected it to.
All I can do is bow my head in shame and try to rectify the situation.

The fact is that I have been working on a complete revision that will take advantage of LiveCode 8/9 and its widgets.
The sad truth is that I don't control my agenda, and that it is hard to push on when 'real life' gets in the way of my best intentions.
Maybe I should be more selfish and tell others to bugger off so I can concentrate on moving this big project forward.

When I work on something, I want to do it 'right' and not produce something half-baked - but perfection takes time.
The architecture is in my head, most of the concrete for the foundations has been poured, and I know which walls go where and how the doors and windows will fit.
All I need is time to turn that plan into an actual building that you all can use.

But you will see the first parts appear over the coming months.
I've put too much energy into this already to just let it disappear...
