Remove All Stacks from Memory Dialog

Posted by Charles61 on June 14, 2008 at 7:30p

Every time I print from app in the IDE I get a QR dialog asking me if I want to remove all of the qrtReportsLib stacks from memory. It also says that you can turn this warning off in Preferences under the Edit Menu. However, there is no such option in QR Builder or Rev.
Does anyone know where this option is located?

I found it in under Files and Memory of Rev Prefs how to turn off this nagging dialog!

Hi Charles,

I'm glad you found a solution - however, I'm a little surprised that this dialog box shows up in the Rev IDE, as the library stacks shouldn't be undergoing any changes.

Are you closing the qrtReportsLib.rev stack right after printing?
And has anyone else experienced such a message?

Jan,

I have a closeStack handler to stop using stack "qrtReportsLib". But I am getting an error message about executing a script in stack qurtReportsPreview-1226.

Do you 'stop using' the qrtReportsLib stack before all preview windows are closed? I'm guessing that may explain the problem, unless perhaps you're closing the accompanying 'REPtemp-1226' stack file manually - that would also be a recipe for problems, as the Preview stack also wants to close this stack upon closeStack.
Those are two items that I ought to improve upon, in time for 1.1.2

Jan,

I get this error in the run mode of the IDE without closing the stack.

Do you have this even with a simple test stack? Feel free to send me the stack off-list, so that I can check the scripts and try and figure out what is going on.
