[Feature Request]Drag From Out Of Working Area

I have a band that is tight against the objects in it. I'd like to drag-select them, but I can't do that very easily. So it would be nice if I could drag starting either in the band dividers or in the gutter to the right and from there drag into the band.

Thanks for the suggestion - I'll see how it fits in with the rest of my ideas on extending and improving the selection handling, which are in the 'version 2.0' realm mostly.
