White space in Title section

Posted by Pete Whittet on May 24, 2009 at 6:41pm

Please can anyone tell me how to add white space below a field in the Title section ? It just sits on top of the following section (in my case It's a Group header).

I've tried everything I can think of. Any further fields or labels below (still within the Title section) just drift into the following sections.

I have to say, though, it's a nice product, and much easier to use than I expected.

[Hot tip for other newcomers like myself who are just using an SQL database: use the Database Query Builder to set up a dummy query. You can then change this from within a "print" button to whatever SQL you want, using something like
revSetSQLOfQuery "dummyquery", theSQL
- and you can then let qrtReports_PrintReportForQuery do all the hard work for you.]

Any pointers regarding the Title field would be much appreciated .
Many thanks,
Pete

Hi Pete,

It's always good to hear that someone likes the product and finds it easy to use - I do have a range of ideas to make things easier, but they all take time to implement.

Title bands should behave like any other band: they obey the height that you set for them and (except for page header and footer bands) can automatically grow to accomodate stretching text fields. There really shouldn't be an overlap with the following band, so could you send me your layout at support@quartam.com ? Then I might be able to determine the cause of this unwanted behaviour.
